Working 9 to 5

I went for a 4 mile run this afternoon in and around Central Park. The weather was perfect. The park was extremely crowded. I would expect this in the morning or the evening when I am usually over there around my work hours but it was just as packed in the afternoon. I do appreciate that it is still August and there are many tourists visiting the city this month. And of course those that have the pleasure of not working a 9 to 5 job. It’s possible I ran past some full-time writers out there. The park is such a nice escape from the city within the city. It recharged my batteries for sure. I’ll be back this coming Saturday morning for an organized New York City Marathon long training run.

After my run lunch consisted of leftover dinner.

Fresh spinach leaves with tomato, chopped carrots and green olives topped with organic italian dressing.

Sun-dried tomato couscous with grilled brussels sprouts. I reheated this dish with added garlic and olive oil.

I picked up a copy of Shape Magazine today due to the fact that Kristen Bell is on the cover. I have taking a liking to this actress. I fell in love with her while watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It’s possibly one of the funniest movies I have seen. And recently I viewed a few episodes of Veronica Mars on instant Netflix. Though it may seem it’s a bit high school I shamelessly admit to having watched it. In this issue Kristen lists her 30 Rules To Live By and as you may know I am a sucker for a list. It’s a fun read if you wish.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
